The Awakening Passion DVD contains teaching and an activation intended to drive out the enemy’s work in our lives, freeing us to experience the Father’s love so that our passions are awakened for what He desires to do in our lives. Pastor Lynn begins by teaching the biblical definition of a wave offering and the significance of colors in scripture and inviting us to experience the Father’s love. Then, we witness a live activation in which participants process under a tunnel of flags, receiving powerful ministry. The activation offers both an opportunity for us to receive ministry as well as an example of an activity we can use in our ministry.
Pastor Lynn explains that a flag or cloth can be a point of contact that releases faith, in this case, as participants pass under the flags. In the bible we see instances of objects being points of contact through which the Spirit ministers healing to people: The “handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched (Paul) were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.” (Acts 19:12) A woman touches the hem of Jesus’ garment and is healed (Matthew 14:36). We also read of people being healed when the Peter passed by: Sick people were brought to Peter so that his shadow might fall on them and they might be healed (Acts 5:15). Pastor Lynn clarifies that it wasn’t the materials that released the miracles, rather, they were a point of contact for faith to be released. And through faith, the Holy Spirit brought healing. Likewise, flags and banners and processions, when used in ministry can be such points of contact.
Pastor Lynn speaks intimately to the viewers, inviting us to lay down anything that might hinder our relationship with Him and to experience God’s love, which changes us.
